Alberta Ballet - La Sylphide

Alberta Ballet launches the 2024-2025 season September 12 - 14 with a dramatic first for the company: a debut of Francesco Ventriglia's La Sylphide in full-length. The story follows the passionate highs and lows of a Scottish farmer who becomes enchanted with a beautiful spirit. Drawn into a supernatural world, he finds himself torn between loyalty to his fiancée and the allure of the otherworldly.

Hubblo - Pink Floyd: The Dark Side of the Moon Fiftieth Anniversary 360 Film

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Pink Floyd's iconic album, Hubblo presents an audiovisual journey of The Dark Side of the Moon. Youth Singers of Calgary - Try a Free Rehearsal!

Registration for the Youth Singers of Calgary's 2024/2025 season is open! Sing, dance and act with the Youth Singers of Calgary this year. With programming for performers ages 3.5 and up, there is a division for everyone. If you or your loved one is interested, you can try a rehearsal for free throughout September. Astra Group - Halloween Costume Drive

Astra Group is collecting costumes for their annual Halloween Costume drive. This year they will be supporting the local organization Made by Momma by collecting 150 costumes to donate to Calgary kids. Whyte Museum -  J.E.H. MacDonald: The O'Hara Era

This summer, the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies is offering a rare opportunity to view over 100 works by Group of Seven artist J.E.H. MacDonald from public and private collections. Commemorating the 100th anniversary of his first trip to Lake O'Hara, the exhibition is a unique experience available only at they Whyte Museum. The show is strengthened by original research conducted by geologists Patricia Cucman and the late Stanley Munn, who meticulously identified the exact locations of MacDonald's works, along with photographs, over the past 18 years. Intriguing discoveries such as paint scrapings and teacup shards have been found in these locations, providing further insight into MacDonald's creative process and daily life during his time at Lake O'Hara.
