Ellen Parker is the Founder and CEO of PARKER PR, a boutique communications firm in Calgary. Ellen volunteers for a number of organizations in Calgary and she is one of Avenue Magazine's Top 40 Under 40s. She is a diverse communications practitioner with over 15 years of professional experience in Canada and the US. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications: Public Relations from Mount Royal University.

Her career includes working in New York City the Institute for Children and Poverty and for boutique PR firms representing a variety of celebrities, hotels, small businesses and restaurants, and in Canada for Wordfest: Banff-Calgary International Writers Festival, the Liberal Party of Alberta, the Calgary Food Bank and the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra.

With a history volunteering for ACAD, Feed the Hungry, Women in Need, and the Calgary Mountain View Constituency Board of Directors, Ellen has acquired extensive experience building strong networks and partnerships with stakeholders in government, corporate, and non-profit organizations. 

Currently, Ellen volunteers for the Brenda Strafford Society and the Hillhurst Community School as the Co-Chiar of the Parent Council. Ellen sits on the Board of Directors for Decidedly Jazz Danceworks (DJD) and Dress for Success Calgary.
