Simply set up your treat station in an easy-to-access spot like the end of your driveway or front yard so every child can join in the fun. Don’t forget to place your Accessible Trick-or-Treating lawn sign to let families know your home is open and welcoming to all. Get your sign HERE!

SOLD OUT EVENT!
On October 18, 2025, 10A Street NW is hosting the Calgary Treat Accessibly Halloween Village, where a magical and safe trick-or-treating experience is created for all kids, with and

without disabilities. Attendees will delight in a variety of trick or treating stations filled with both edible and non-edible treats, alongside a DJ, magicians and costumed entertainers. This family-friendly event takes place during the day before Halloween, allowing kids, parents, and caregivers to fully embrace the joy of the season.  Last year, the spirit of inclusivity spread across 9 villages in Canada, with over 15,000 kids and parents attending!

Since 2021, Canadian Tire has now championed 28 Villages in 9 Cities across Canada already - all because they heard families face accessibility barriers trick-or-treating every year.  As of 2024, Treat Accessibly has inspired 230,000 homeowners across Canada to place our lawn sign out and Trick or Treat Accessibly Halloween Night!

Contemporary Calgary - Erik Olson: In the Garden

September 25 - February 15 | Contemporary Calgary 701 11 St S.W.

We are so delighted for Erik Olson’s In the Garden at Contemporary Calgary. Begun in Düsseldorf during the uncertain early months of the pandemic, the large-scale oil paintings draw on Germany’s historic Hofgarten as both a physical site and a psychological landscape. Over time, Olson expanded the series into dreamlike explorations where animals stalk, waters reflect and solitary figures pause in moments of reflection or doubt. The garden emerges as a threshold, between order and freedom, the familiar and the unknown, the personal and the collective.

Rich in colour, scale and atmosphere, these works invite us into a surreal space of memory, projection and transformation. The garden becomes a site of reckoning, where desire, unease and recollection converge. Curated by Kanika Anand.

Come see the series in person and experience the garden for yourself.  Learn more about the exhibit HERE. For more information on all the exciting exhibits, visit Contemporary Calgary.

Preston Pavlis. Painted rocks and toys, 2025. Courtesy of the artist and Bradley Ertaskiran, Montreal.

We encourage Calgarians to check out this exciting exhibition by Preston Pavlis. His work explores seeing and being seen, intimacy and distance, through scenes drawn from Halifax walks and tender portraits of friends and family. Painted on one side and quilted on the other, each piece invites both contemplation and touch, holding moments of memory, encounter and quiet presence. Curated by Kanika Anand.
