Director of Marketing and Brand Partnerships
Kiya Naka is a strategic brand builder, creative storyteller, and multimedia director with a passion for purposeful, people-first marketing. Full Bio Here.
Professional Overview
Kiya Naka is a strategic brand builder, creative storyteller, and multimedia director passionate about purposeful, people-first marketing. With over 20 years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing, her focus lies in brand strategy, experiential marketing, and visual production. Kiya brings bold ideas and intentional execution to every client she works with.
Her professional journey has come full circle: Kiya was one of Parker PR’s very first employees nearly ten years ago, playing a supportive role in shaping the agency’s early identity. After taking time away to welcome her son, Jack, she launched her own successful consulting company, Kiya(Co)llaborate, where she led brand development projects for clients across lifestyle, hospitality, real estate, and nonprofit sectors. Her work has been featured in major publications and campaigns, and includes co-directing and co-producing the award-winning short documentary My First Breath: The Story of Carl Gibson with co-Director and Producer, Karen Shayne, Unconditionally Her Magazine + Media in Nashville, Tennessee.
Now, with renewed perspective and a deeper sense of purpose, Kiya has returned to Parker PR as Director of Marketing and Brand Partnerships, ready for her next adventure; partnering once again with Ellen and a power-house team to deliver strategy, story, and soul for the next generation of brands.
Professional Strengths & Qualities

Creative Leadership – Balances vision with execution, leading cross-functional teams through complex campaigns.
Entrepreneurial Edge – Brings founder-level thinking to every project, always considering long-term impact.

Personal Interests & Passions
When she’s not creating brand campaigns or producing content, Kiya is living her best multi-passionate life — with her sidekick, Jack, by her side. Mornings often start with a good coffee and an impromptu MGK dance party, followed by a school drop-off soundtrack that ranges from classic rock to hockey pump-up anthems. Sundays are for slow flow and connection, with Warm Yin Yoga classes, balancing out their otherwise high-energy, sport-filled schedule.
As a devoted hockey and baseball mom, she spends most weekends travelling to tournaments, cheering from the sidelines, or helping her spouse Cam with coaching duties and house projects. The odd weekend free ends up being a quick escape to her favourite Canadian hot-spot, Ucluelet, on Vancouver Island as Kiya finds joy in the simple things: dog walks, nature drives, and planning their future move to an acreage with mountain views and big-mountain-sky serenity.
A proud dog mama to Hazel, Lottie, and Lily, Kiya also fosters pups through AARCS in Calgary, because she believes all dogs deserve a soft place to land (and a few treats, obviously). Her lifestyle is a grounded blend of movement, nature, chaos, and calm, reflecting the same balance of heart and hustle she brings to every brand she touches.

Kiya is more than a strategist; she’s a storyteller with heart, a builder with vision, and a collaborator who leads with purpose. Her unique blend of agency experience, entrepreneurial grit, and creative leadership makes her an invaluable asset to the Parker PR team and to every client she serves.
